Teaching
Statement
Starting as an assistant teacher at a young age, I've dedicated myself to fostering critical and creative thinking in my students, prioritizing their internal growth over any external expectations. Encouraging open dialogue and community-building, I believe in balancing technique with personal expression and fostering students' autonomy in learning. With a commitment to holistic development, I aim to uplift every aspect of my students' lives, adapting my teaching approach to meet their diverse needs. Continuously evolving, I aspire to integrate new styles and perspectives into my teaching while learning from my students' experiences, ultimately viewing dance as a collaborative conversation where everyone has a voice.

I have 7 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. Based in Southern California, I am currently teaching at The Wooden Floor for Youth Movement (Santa Ana), The Music Room (Orange), and am a teaching artist with Backhausdance's education team.
